We regularly invite many local and international universities to give information about the courses available in their colleges to expose our students to varied options for higher education and career opportunities. Colleges such as Swiss School of Tourism and Hospitality, Mount Allison, University of Nottingham and University of Political Science (Paris) come to MGIS regularly to interact with our students. We also regularly organize University fairs and Exhibitions with colleges from UK, Canada, Singapore, India, France etc. for our students within the school premises.
The British Council had organized a “Counselors / Principals Inward Mission” between 1 – 6 September 2008. Ravinder Kaur, our Diploma Programme Coordinator took part in this mission and went to visit the universities and colleges in United Kingdom. The main objective of this mission was to bring awareness about the variety of courses and options available, the scholarships and facilities provided by the Universities in UK. She visited the University of Ulster, Queen’s University, University of Manchester, University of Central Lancashire, Blackpool and the Fylde College, Aston University and the London Metropolitan University. During the visit, counselors and coordinators not only got first hand experience to know about the university courses and programs but also about the career service, placements and links with employers.
