Lissa Chazot works at Mahatma Gandhi International School (MGIS), Ahmedabad as IBDP CAS Coordinator, she heads creativity and community service projects for the High School Section. She is part of the first cohort of three educators selected from India to become an Apple Distinguished Educator in recognition of the years of work in delivering technology infused education through multidisciplinary projects at Mahatma Gandhi International School. She is also one of the first Apple Education Trainers (APD Consultant) in India, she is invited to give presentations in front of Head of Schools, Principals and Educators across schools across India. She has been conferred the Pearson Teaching Award, a national award for teaching excellence and has featured on national television, CNN IBN for her work done at MGIS. As one of the pioneering teachers to deliver the curriculum through filmmaking and multimedia to school children in India, her student work created using Apple technology has been used by the Office of the Chief Election Officer (Gujarat), the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation among others and has reached an audience of more than 7.5 million people. She is a member of the national Decentralization Community of Practice, United Nations Development Programme in Delhi and an expert member of the Technical Committee on School Children constituted by the Election Commission of India to develop educational tools and training kits.
