Audrey Pelerin
French Program Coordinator
Eco-Program Coordinator
Audrey Pelerin is the Coordinator of French Programs and Mission Laïque Française Board at Mahatma Gandhi International School since 2022, bringing a unique blend of environmental expertise and passion for education.
Hailing from France, Audrey’s journey began with a Degree in Environmental Engineering from Bretagne, France, solidifying her dedication to address environmental issues. Audrey worked in Paris for 7 years, where she contributed to a top environmental services company and an NGO dedicated to building capacity in essential services (water, waste, energy) worldwide.
Motivated by her decade-long dream to reconnect with her Indian roots, Audrey left France for India in 2018 to work towards making a positive impact in her country of origin. Since 2022, she has split her time between Pondicherry, where she serves as President of the French Entrepreneurs Club and launches an ecofriendly directory, and Ahmedabad.
Despite not having a formal teaching background, Audrey’s native fluency in French and innate pedagogical skills enables her to bring an intuitive approach to French classes. Her proactive efforts have led to the restructuring of the French team, implementation of effective tools for daily workflow, and the expansion of French language programs from grade 3 to 12. She was also instrumental in creating an online community with the Mission Laïque Française Board for pushing the MGIS pedagogy across the world. Committed to continuous improvement, she advocates for frequent training sessions for French initiators. Audrey also helped establish an ongoing program with the French Embassy, welcoming French assistants every year.
Audrey also aids in coordinating sustainable initiatives at the school, including the Laal and Ecoschool projects.
Outside of work, she finds joy in salsa dancing and zumba, playing the piano, and gardening.
